Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it’s another chance to entertain! Do you want to plan a party and want it to be the best in town? Then don't wait - read on for party planning tips!
First, work out how many guests you want to invite and make a guest list. You may want to have some of your closest friends or perhaps some people from your office. Invites will will also depend on where your party is located; home, at a local park, or vacant venue. The space is important to keep in mind considering the capacity may vary. There are so many ideas, but remember if you're planning on having the party outside, to have a backup plan, just in case of weather changes.
Next, pick a date and time. Make sure the date you choose gives enough notice for your guests. You can't invite people to a party the day before! Two weeks is usually plenty of notice. And make sure you decide on a start and finish time. You may also want to keep in mind some of your guest my like to spend the 14th with a significant other.
Then, choose the food you will make! Buffet style is usually the way to go, that way your guest have a wide range of options. Sandwiches, salads, and assorted appetizers complimented with chocolates, cake pops, and all things sweet and in heart shapes is the way to go. If you do not have the budget to have your party catered, see what can be made one or two days before your party, to help save a bit of time on the day.
Don't forget! When the time comes to hand out invitations, decide if you want to make your own or buy them. You can find some great invites on Etsy for customizable paper invites or you can send out online. Remember, you'll need to send them out at least two weeks before the party.
